Our version is more-or-less based on the 2003 Pink AOL Music Sessions acoustic version of the 1971 Janis Joplin #1 single covering the song written by Kris Kristofferson and originally performed by Roger Miller.
In band trivia, North Country Brian on cajon for this tune grew up friends with Pink and her brother. Brian reported Pink "knocked it out of the park" winning their high school talent show.

Our version is based on the 2004 remake by the French cover band Novelle Vague (French for "new wave"), of the 1985 American post-punk new wave band Tuxedomoon Moon song by lead singer/guitarist Winston Tong. Tong is the son of Chinese parents exiled from China during the Communist Revolution.
Glenn sits in for our version of the intense Citizen Cope song "Sideways" recorded live in October 2025 at The Pine in Lancaster NH.
